(us at 6 in the morn right before surgery)So we made it!..and are surprisingly home. Justin was supposed to be in the hospital for another 2 days, but I guess he was doing good enough to go home, all the nurses were shocked! So Justin ended up having to get one of his vertebrae in his lower back fused...OUCH. We were hoping he wouldn't need to, but once the doctor was in there, his disc was moving around everywhere and was pretty much shot. So now Justin has some pretty awesome screws in his back! The surgery took about 2 1/2 hours, then it took Justin a little while to wake up and for them to get the pain under control. The surgery went well, and he should be SOOOOO Much better in a Few months!! We had the best doctor, so I have no doubt that the resUlts will be Amazing. He still is in A LOT of pain, but walking around really good. It is going to be a long couple of weeks for all of us...so pray for us, we'll need it!

That scar is gonna be amazing! He's lucky he doesn't scar like me! I am so glad you guys are home but I know it can be hard to be home sometimes too. I was so anxious to leave the hospital after Tristan because of nazi nurses and having to beg and plead for my pain meds, etc- but looking back I almost wish I would have stayed longer just for the help. Oh well, you live and learn.. If you guys feel like you could use extra help please let me know! Love you!
Yesterday Rhett says - I think they are home...and I was like nah...they said he would be in the hospital for a few days...so we just figured you had come home to rest - but nope - you are HOME!!! We are glad to hear that he is doing good. We wanted to come say "Welcome Home" - but we didn't want to bug Justin. So please just let me know if you need anything or want to borrow LOST - or any show and yeah!!
Poor Justin! I hope he is feeling better by now. I bet it will be so worth it when he is feeling better in a few months. We will be praying for you guys. Love you!
My hubby Rod had to have his lower back fused too and it leaves one heck of a SCAR!! I hope Justin has a quick recovery!
